Felyx e-scooter sharing raises 3 million euros for expansion to Rotterdam

July 31, 2018 | The expansion to Rotterdam is possible thanks to an investment that was raised from various private investors and ABN AMRO. The investment of 2 million euros is the decisive factor for the expansion to Rotterdam, where earlier this year a letter of intent was signed by the municipality to introduce the partial concept of Felyx. At the start of 2018, the first step was already taken towards the expansion, when 1 million euro investment was raised for expansion at the organizational level. This investment was made by, among others, Anne-Marie Rakhorst, entrepreneur and founder of the platform Duurzaamheid.nl. In Rotterdam the part concept starts with 324 e-scooters. In Amsterdam, thousands of users now share the 108 electric scooters that are available.

The e-scooters are not only green in color, they are also 100% electric and run entirely on green electricity. In addition, the entire fleet is limited to the legal speed of 25 km/h. The partial scooters can be rented via the felyx app for Apple and Android. At a minute price of 30 cents, the tenant moves through the city without worrying about maintenance or parking spaces. Felyx has set up a partial concept in Amsterdam, where the e-scooters can be picked up and left everywhere. Thanks to a well-considered free-floating principle, (parking) nuisance is prevented. This was therefore an important condition to be allowed to start in Rotterdam.
